Keyboard Overview

Introduction The Constance keyboard is a TKL-sized keyboard with a Split Plate Top-mount mounting. The design principle is that we want the Constance TKL to be a Daily Driver keyboard with a minimalist design but with attractive details that are not too flashy. And it also emphasizes the typing feeling and sound as much as the design. Design FeaturesConstance TKL is a keyboard with a 9-degree typing angle, a 23.799 mm high EKH, and comes with 3 weights, an inner weight, an outer weight, and a Toblerone, resulting in a built-in weight of 3,480 grams for the brass weights and 3,420 grams for the stainless steel weights.The Top Case is designed to be simple and clean, with soft-looking edges and corners. But the highlights of the board are the External Weight and Side Profile. The External Weight has a curved cut that plays with light to create dimension, and the Side Profile is the Classic HG Side, which has slightly curved cuts, making the overall design look unique, soft, and more comfortable to the eyes. Although overall this keyboard looks simple, every edge and corner has been carefully thought out for size and cutting angles, in order to make the Constance TKL design as detailed and perfect as possible. Mounting and Plate Constance TKL is a top mount keyboard that comes with split plates similar to the Glare TKL and Albatross TKL keyboards. It will separate 60% Cluster and Function Row from the Navigator Cluster. During the development, we have experimented with both Full Plate and Split Plate. We found that the separated plate gives a higher sound profile (High Pitch) and is significantly louder, which meets our needs. In addition, the layout is symmetrical, making the mounting points symmetrical for a stable and consistent typing feel. We have also added a cutout between the Function Row and Number Row (Aluminum Plate and Carbon Fiber Plate only) to increase the flex of the Alpha for the rigid plate. Internal surfaces are not considered during QC. Internal Weightbar Deformation IssueThis internal thin stainless steel plate is flat after being tightened with screws to the bottom casing.The reason for its bending is due to stress release in this thickness of stainless steel during the manufacturing process. If pressed flat with a machine, it will damage the surface. If pressed flat by hand, it will cause the bottom casing to exhibit an "S" shaped curve in the rear section.Therefore, I carefully inspected it after tightening the screws, and it was delivered to the user in a flat condition. Users can also make it flat by tightening the screws after installing the board properly.This issue is not covered by the warranty Color Options Click for larger pictures Design Features CONSTANCE TKL We kept the top face clean with 10.5 mm top bezels and 6.5 mm side bezels. However, by adding a 9-degree angle chamfer around the top edge (to create the HG sides), each bezel appears 1.8 mm thinner from the top.All corners and edges are filleted to give the top view a softer look. For every 50 items sold, we will randomly select one lucky customer to receive a free brass bottom valued at around $250. weights Constance comes with 3 pieces of weights: internal, external, and toblerone. Side Profile Initially, Constance came with a simple HG side, but we decided to add a subtle curvature to make the side profile more appealing and softer on the eye.This was a last-minute decision, but we ended up liking it more. It comes with a 9-degree typing and a EKH of 23.799 mm. Extreme Perfectionism Instead of having a constant fillet radius along the edges, we've made it variable, tapering to almost a sharp edge at the ends for a cleaner and tidier look.
