Switch Overview

HMX K2 is a factory-lubed tactile switch from QN Studio, manufactured by HMX OEM. Its tactile event was refined through repeated iterations of the stem-leg and leaf pairing to deliver a strong, clean bump that feels decisive without becoming abrupt. The transition is rounded and controlled rather than dragging or harsh. Using a stem-pole bottom-out design, K2 produces a concentrated, crisp bottom-out sound. A custom-tuned lubricant and precision multi-point factory lubrication support a smooth, ready-to-use experience straight from the box. Stem legs and sliders receive a very thin coat of 205g0. The spring and leaf are dry-film lubed; all other areas remain dry, including the bottom housing and the area around the stem pole. This approach is intended to maintain a clean sound while reducing the chance of lubricant pooling.
