Switch Overview

The Game 1989 Classic is one of the HMX Film switches and the deepest, most thocky of the series, thanks to its T5 stem and P4 bottom housing, the materials HMX chooses for a deeper switch. It has a 4.0mm total travel; although still a pole bottom-out switch, the travel is very close to 4mm. It is made with HMX’s newest stem and bottom housing molds for a refined typing feel. Ranked from most to least clacky the Film switches run KD200, FJ400, 1989. Note that the 4.0mm travel does not support keycaps with an inner support frame or 1.7mm thick keycaps, as the switches and keycaps would collide. Factory lubed with mixed GPL105 and GPL205.
