Cherry Orange

The Cherry Hirose Orange linear switches originated in audio sequencers in the late 1980s, were discontinued for decades, and became legendary in the mechanical keyboard community, commanding significant aftermarket prices. The latest MX2A iteration keeps the classic Cherry "chalky" sound profile with added smoothness from factory lubrication, sounding slightly deeper than the related Nixie switches. They are lubricated from the factory but may benefit from further lubrication (Krytox 205g0 recommended) if spring ping or scratchiness occurs, improving in feel and sound after a break-in period.
