Shortly after the Hyacinth V2 launched, Sillyworks announced a new version — not called V3, but 'V2U.' During V2's design, fans wanted longer travel and a full purple colorway, but manufacturing constraints at the time limited V2 to 3.6mm travel and kept the V1 green stem. Since then, Sillyworks worked with HMX to refine the design and finalize a mold that achieves nearly full travel for the Hyacinth. The 'U' stands for 'designed by and for U (you, the enthusiast).'
