Hmx Lanikai

Designed by XLLAB and manufactured by HMX using XLLAB's private customized molds, making it a one-of-a-kind switch. The custom mold produces a smooth but grainy press texture, subjectively similar to Kailh Calligraphy switches (slightly larger grain) and, with some differences, Cherry MX2A Black and Kailh BCP switches. The stem bottoms out on the pole, giving HMX's signature concentrated, crisp clack reminiscent of classic HMX sound; factory lubrication keeps the scratchy texture largely unnoticeable. Travel is set at 3.7mm to balance typing feel with keycap compatibility. Factory lubed: stem legs and stem sliders get a thin coat of 205g0, and the spring and leaf are lubed with dry film.
