Switch Overview

The HMX KD400 is the successor to the KD200, made by HMX with its newest molds and materials. It is the first HMX switch to use the M1 strengthened POM stem and N3 bottom housing, which together give a unique clacky sound in the vein of the classic HMX clack but with more to it. The L3 mold leaves a slightly larger stem-to-top-housing gap for very smooth travel. Factory lubed: stem legs and sliders get a thin coat of 205g0, and the spring and leaf are lubed with dry film。
