Hmx X 80 Retros Kd400

HMX

Standard ProfileLinear5

Switch Overview

The HMX KD200 switch now has its successor. The KD400 switches are a new clack king and they are manufactured by HMX using the newest molds and newest materials. The KD400 is the first-ever HMX switch that uses the M1 strengthened POM stem and the N3 bottom housing. When they collide, it creates a unique and clacky sound profile. It is reminiscent of the classic HMX clack, but there is something more to it. Mold-wise, KD400 uses the L3 mold sets with a slightly larger gap between the stem and the top housing, allowing for a super smooth travel. These switches are a unique existence among the HMX linear lineup, and a must try if you are a clack lover. Factory Lubed: Yes! Stem legs and stem sliders are covered with a very thin coat of 205g0. The spring and leaf are lubed with dry film.
