Switch Overview

The HMX Cream Tea Light Tactile Switch is a thocky, light tactile switch built around HMX’s H2 spherical-bottom stem. Unlike conventional flat-bottom tactile stems that create a strong bottom-out impact, its smaller contact area disperses the impact to soften high frequencies and create a fuller, creamier bottom-out sound. HMX’s latest factory-lubing process finely lubricates the stem’s eight rails, small legs, and the full length of the leaf, so the switches are ready to install and use straight from the box. The PA66 nylon housings deliver a clean, focused return sound, while the light diffuser provides even, soft, non-diffused illumination. The low-glass-fiber content PA66 bottom housing retains the rigidity the housing needs without amplifying cavity resonance or high-frequency noise.
