The HMX Azalea is a full-travel linear switch for those who want a firm scratch, a crisp sound, and long-term consistency. Traditional scratchy switches tend to have their texture and sound fade with use. To address this, HMX developed a new material combination: a high-density ceramic-reinforced POM stem, a PA66 top housing with 10% glass fiber, and an N1 nylon bottom housing. The ceramic-reinforced stem is the hardest stem material HMX has used to date, greatly improving wear resistance while enhancing the strength, texture, and longevity of the scratch. Combined with a new full-texture mold, it produces a distinct sandy feel and scratch sound throughout the keystroke. Compared to earlier switches like the Sonja series, the scratch and texture are more refined. The sound follows HMX's signature clacky, crisp profile.
