Switch Overview
The Keygeek Golden is a thocky linear switch designed by Wuhai, built around a U6 UPE stem with a spherical stem tip and a bottom housing with a matching spherical contact point in the bottom housing. Both the top and bottom housings are made of PA66 with zero fiberglass content. Without fiberglass reinforcement, the housing resonates softer and lower, cutting out the high-frequency ring that harder blends produce and leaving a thocky, rounded, full-bodied sound signature. The U6 UPE stem is the core of the switch. UPE dampens vibration, giving Golden a buttery glide and a deep, muted bottom-out. The sphere-shaped stem tip meets a sphere contact point in the bottom housing, so the two surfaces mate on a curved face instead of flat-on-flat. The result is a thocky and creamy bottom-out with none of the sharpness you get from a conventional flat pole hit.
