Cherry Nixie

The Nixie linear switches were originally used in Nixdorf keyboards in the 1980s, were discontinued for decades, and became legendary in the mechanical keyboard community, commanding hundreds of dollars per switch in the aftermarket. The latest MX2A iteration keeps the classic Cherry "chalky" sound profile with added smoothness from factory lubrication. They are lubricated from the factory but may benefit from further lubrication (Krytox 205g0 recommended) if spring ping or scratchiness occurs, and tend to improve in feel and sound after a break-in period of a few weeks.
