Switch Overview

The Taro Silent Tactile Switch is a silent tactile designed by XLLAB and manufactured by Wingtree in collaboration with Lichicx. It pairs a refined tactile bump with silicone dampening, so you keep the feedback of a tactile switch without the bottom out sound. The stem is made of POM, one of the smoothest and most self-lubricating materials available for switch stems. Combined with a PC top housing and a PA66 bottom housing, Taro delivers a clean tactile event followed by a soft, absorbed bottom-out and a quiet return. At 45g operating and 53g bottom-out with a 22mm KOS single-stage extended spring, Taro sits in a comfortable medium weight. The tactile bump arrives early in the travel and resolves smoothly into the remaining stroke, making it well suited to long typing sessions in shared spaces, offices, and late-night use.
